The Director, General Pediatrics Management, reporting directly to the COO, is responsible for leading primary care pediatric medical practice services across Packard Children’s Health Alliance. The Director, General Pediatrics Management promotes the mission and values of Packard Children’s Health Alliance. He/She maintains or assists in broad responsibilities for all management functions of the primary care medical practices, including operations, human resources, marketing, finance, managed care, third party contracting, medical and business information systems, strategic planning and business development.
The Director, General Pediatrics Management also leads and participates in a variety of strategic projects/initiatives within PCHA; develops and monitors organizational policy in conjunction with other leadership team members; supervises exempt-level Practice Management staff and leading with innovative techniques resulting in efficient and sound business practices; attends regular provider meetings to gather input on initiatives, address operational issues, oversee performance indicators, rollout organizational initiatives, monitor site efficiency and compliance and present a leadership presence at each primary care location; ensures a high-level of patient experience and satisfaction; and manages operations at or below budgeted revenue and expenses.
To qualify, you must have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred), five to seven years’ experience working in practice management and a solid understanding of physician practice management in large and complex settings. Preference for start-up operations management experience; must have on-going practice operations management experience. Experience managing staff in a healthcare environment, including hiring, developing and performance reviews. Demonstrated experience in working effectively and collaboratively within complex healthcare systems. Familiarity with laws and regulations related to healthcare delivery compliance. Maintains a positive working relationship with employees, management, physicians, clinical personnel and other staff to promote teamwork and cooperation and a positive public image. Will be required to travel extensively to other affiliated locations.
