The Vice President Operations is responsible for maintaining a respectful, empathetic, constructive and energetic leadership style to produce quality, measurable and cost-effective results, aligned with the Terwilliger Plaza mission, visions and values and strategic objectives for the following: Facilities-Maintenance, Environmental Services (including Housekeeping, Laundry, and Janitorial), Construction, Remodel; and Dining Services (Restaurant, Deli, and Assisted Living Food Services). Responsibilities include developing, maintaining and evaluating efficient and effective processes and systems to ensure that these departments have the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and personnel systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
$90,000+, commensurate with qualifications/experience, plus opportunities for bonus.
Must pass DHS background check and drug screening.
Senior Leadership experience.
College degree, or equivalent experience, in relevant field such as gerontology, business, health care, senior services, or housing/community development.
Past relevant experience in operations including maintenance, environmental services, and dining services.
Knowledge of remodel and construction processes and project management.
Leadership Experience in healthcare, housing, and/or Continuing Care Retirement Communities.
Nonprofit experience, preferably with a highly engaged board of directors.
Advanced degree in a relevant field such as gerontology, business, health care, senior services, or housing/community development.

Terwilliger Plaza is located in beautiful downtown Portland, at the base of Marquam Hill, between PSU and OHSU. We are easily accessible by Max and Bus, and pedestrian and bike friendly.
Due to construction, we currently have very limited onsite parking, however, all employees are eligible for FREE TriMet passes.
At Terwilliger Plaza, continuing care is not about growing older, it’s all about growing better. Primarily an independent living community for seniors over age 62, we also offer aging-in-place services including in-home care, and on-site assisted living facilities. Members are representatively self-governed, and have distinct influence on every service we provide.
From the Plaza, members and staff can take in the outstanding views of downtown Portland, the Willamette River, and the Cascade Mountains. Additionally, members enjoy many amenities including the wellness center, pool, restaurant, and salon, and many activities including opportunities to enjoy all that downtown Portland has to offer.
