The Rehabilitation Hospital of Wisconsin (RHOW) is a state-of-the-art, 40-bed hospital that is the result of a partnership between ProHealth Care and Kindred Healthcare to meet the growing rehabilitation needs of the region.
Under the direct supervision of the Nutritional Services Director, the Nutritional Services Aide performs a variety of patient food service and dish duties.
This position works three days from 7-10:30 am and on Tuesdays and Fridays works 7-1:30pm (five shifts total per week) including working every other weekend and every other holiday.
Prepares food trays for general and therapeutic diets and p repares special diet foods as necessary.
Prepares and delivers items as requested by patient care units or patients.
Maintains tray line in a clean, neat and organized manner and puts clean dishes and utensils away.
L oads and oversees dishwashers and washes specified items by hand, i.e., pots, pans, knives.
Disposes of trash and garbage in appropriate manner and as needed.
Mops floors, cleans walk-in refrigerators and storage areas a scheduled and as necessary.
Prior food service or customer service experience preferred.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and interpersonal skills.
