The Expressive Therapy (ET) department is looking to hire a full time Expressive Arts Therapist. Duties will include providing individual and group psychotherapy for patients with a focus on the recovery principles. ET staff support the multidisciplinary treatment teams with, assessment, consultation, and milieu therapy. ET staff also participates in hospital operations via performance improvement, training, supervision of students, community relations, and the promotion of service excellence. Successful candidates will display excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a team. The position will require the availability to work flexible hours, including holiday and weekend rotation.
Key Responsibilities: The Expressive Therapist is an essential member of the Clinical Services/Treatment team. He/she provides for delivery and documentation of age/population specific expressive therapy interventions. Plans, schedules and implements expressive therapy programs to meet the needs, interest and capabilities of the patient population. Completes assessments on all patients to identify leisure interests and coping deficits.
