VCU Health System's Clinical Enterprise Administration department is seeking a full time Director of Clinical Integrated Network to provide strategic direction, vision, and oversight for clinical networks with a primary focus on clinical quality. Collaborates with providers to develop and implement strategies for success in value based reimbursement. Provides system-wide leadership and management to create core capabilities and capacity to thrive as a clinically integrated organization responsible for the health of a population. The individual will be at the cutting edge of clinical integration, evidence based practice and guideline development, clinical informatics, value-based care, and health system strategy. Works closely with affiliated health systems and providers, payor partners, finance, informatics, and strategy teams. The individual will also oversee the implementation of the VCU clinical model throughout the health system.
Engages care providers, patients, financial leaders, and payor-partners in designing a high-reliability care model and network that achieves the quadruple aim of improving patient experience of service, quality, and safety; reducing cost through providing the right care in the right place at the right time and eliminating waste; achieving population health; and creating a highly satisfied and engaged workforce.
Guides the development, alignment, and maintenance of the physician and provider network to assure strong and effective relationships.
Works collaboratively with VP Managed Care who is responsible for contract negotiations for value based arrangements with managed care organizations for Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial products.
Participates in the development of short and long term strategic plan and goals and implements programs and activities to achieve those goals.
Oversees all clinical network operations and coordinates with medical leadership to ensure clinical excellence, care coordination, patient satisfaction and evidence-based decision-making.
Oversees development of budgets, metrics, and financial reporting that includes performance against clinical and non-clinical targets (quality, outcomes, service, cost-effectiveness, cost of care, provider-level and patient-level analyses, etc.).
Oversees funds flow distribution and accounting and overall data management and reporting.
Maintains strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Engages with advisory committees to support clinical network efforts. Advisory committees to include but are not limited to physicians, practice managers, hospital/health system executives, IT and managed care support personnel.
Establishes programs to assure adherence to governing documents and committee charters and structure.
Oversees programs and activities in support of staffing and recruitment, retention, staff development and education, performance management and employee relations.
Assures regulatory, legal and contractual compliance for clinical network activities.
Provides administrative support for all clinical network committees.
Organizes and supports the development and implementation of clinical practice guidelines to promote the use of evidence-based practice.
Partners with local site leadership and governance, implement an effective system of provider practice pattern evaluation to maintain standards of value based care and evidence based practice.
Lead, collaborate, and facilitate discussions with physicians, key stakeholders, and community leaders.
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, or a related field.
Seven (7) years of experience in healthcare leadership and management experience.
Experience with change management and the ability to affect change with providers.
Experience creating clinical value with payors.
Proven teambuilding skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, or a related field.
Ten (10) years of experience in healthcare leadership and management experience.
