The Safety Manager, Workers Compensation,is responsible for the day to day design, implementation, and monitoring of UHS corporate loss prevention initiatives to reduce staff injuries and workersâ€™ compensation costs. This position will be responsible for up to 15 facilities in 3 states geographic area. Regional travel is required and would be up to 40%. Essential Job Duties: â€¢ Conducts physical assessments of locations to identify hazards; evaluates and offers recommendations to eliminate hazards and increase employee safety awareness. â€¢ Designs and implements safety and loss prevention programs to prevent future accidents â€¢ Conducts job safety analysis to reduce employee strains â€¢ Develops, implements, and conducts safety training and presentations to all levels of management â€¢ Monitors claim management vendor to ensure claim expenses are mitigated. â€¢ Conducts accident investigations. â€¢ Must be well organized, able to manage multiple priorities. â€¢ Must possess excellent communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.
