The RN assumes the responsibility and accountability for providing safe and competent direct/indirect nursing care for Medical /Surgical patients (focus on Orthopedics) within a 22 bed unit in accordance with Manatee Memorial Hospital policies, standards and philosophy. - Ability to integrate nursing theory into practice using nursing process. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to problem-solve and work effectively with patients, families, staff and physicians. - Ability to plan and organize work. - Ability to work independently and in teams. - Demonstrates Services Excellence at all times. - Other duties as assigned
