The Vanderbilt Neurosurgery clinic is looking for an energetic Medical Assistant with a positive attitude to join our team. If you enjoy fast paced patient contact but can also learn the administrative role of the front desk, this might be a great fit for you. Our Medical Assistants keep the clinic flow moving, ensure our supplies and care environment are in order, assist nurses with patient records, and call patients about appointments and medications. We are searching for a flexible individual with problem solving skills and initiative who communicates well in a team setting. This position floats between clinic locations for Neurology and Neurosurgery and must have reliable transportation.

Vanderbilt Clinical Neurosciences in Nashville, TN is a leader in treating brain, spine and nervous system disorders. Collaboration is key in caring for such complex issues. Our teams treat all neurological conditions including brain tumors, vascular abnormalities, spine injury, stroke, epilepsy, sleep disorders, headaches, Parkinson's, essential tremor, other movement disorders, stroke, and muscular sclerosis, among others.
Shifts/Hours: Minimum 2 days availability per work on either Mon or Tues and Thursday. Hours are 8-430 with occasional need for earlier arrival at 730.
Your Role: Supports the licensed healthcare team by organizing and managing clinic patient flow, gathering and documenting patient vital signs, medications and health history, and communicating with patient's health care team.
