Clinical Manager, Cardiovascular Services
Works under the department director to provide leadership and direction to the clinical staff in the Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology, and Interventional Radiology departments.Â Assists department director in the operations of department, which includes but is not limited to, performing cardiac catheterization, radiological, paramedical, hemodynamic and therapeutic duties, scheduling and supervision of staff, preparation of capital and operational budgets, evaluating products, ordering supplies, designating job assignments, evaluating staff, resolving complaint issues, equipment maintenance and patient billing.
Â Essential JobDuties:
Demonstrates effective communication skills through collaboration with all healthcare team members, patients, significant others, payors, vendors and the community to ensure optimal outcomes of customer relations.
Collaborates with other nurse leadersÂ to assess and assure professional nursing practice and standards.
Monitors and evaluates activities in the department to ensure quality patient care and compliance with applicable standards and guidelines (e.g. American College of Cardiology and TJC).
Facilitate quarterly Cardiovascular Division meetings to discuss best practice, outcomes, and regulatory compliance
Identifies problems with quality or safety of patient care and initiates actions for resolutions, under the direction of the unit Director as evidenced by lack of verified deviations.
Assess and assures professional nursing and technical staff practice and standards of the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act, LLR and ARRT as evidenced by a lack of verified deviations.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of cardiovascular lab procedures.Â Assists in procedures as needed.Â Supervises appropriate adjustments to patient care based on patientâ€™s age.Assists Chest Pain Coordinator in ensuring all standards are met to maintain certification.
Reports all relevant information regarding patient care, departmental operation and organizational operation to director.
Coordinates orientation training of new associates.Â Ensures all associates complete competency evaluations and license and/or certification verifications annually.
