TheÂ Risk and Compliance Manager is responsible for implementation and management of all policies, programs and services, relating to compliance, risk and privacy, in adherence with state and federal regulatory requirements, as directed by both corporate and facility leadership, in order to provide a safe environment for all patients, guests and interested parties, by minimizing/eliminating exposure.
Key Responsibilities include:
Updates, maintains and enforces all UHS compliance and privacy policies
Oversees facility compliance program
Works directly with UHS Risk Manager and Compliance Officer regarding facility risk and compliance concerns and issues
Ensures all UHS Risk reports are completed correctly and submitted on time
Enforces Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and reports all compromised Protected Health Information (PHI) to UHS
Completes Patient Safety Council (PSC) training and becomes a member of PSC in good standing
Works with Director of Operations and preparing for monthly PSC meeting and uploads minutes by the 10th of each month
