LOCATION: CREMAK HEALTH SERVICES – QUALITY ASSURANCE
SHIFT: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
The Certified CCL Programmer-CHS, leverages the capabilities of the Cerner Millennium System to monitor and improve the quality and safety of the services provided through the comprehensive continuum of health services provided at the Cook County Department of Corrections.
This position is exempt from Career Service under the CCHHS Personnel Rules.
Performs complex data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing management reports, and regulatory agency requests.
Develops programs and methodologies for analyzing, reporting, and presenting data.
Uses and extends the capabilities of database applications and analytical tools.
Researches new data sources and analytical tolls.
Uses training and experience to evaluate and interpret data resources.
Communicates results to management and internal customers.
Facilitates satisfactory communication and resolution of problems.
High School diploma or GED with a minimum of four (4) years computer technical training (Must provide proof at time of interview)
OR Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics is required. (Must provide official transcripts at time of interview)
Full-time work experience in SQL or CCL command language is required.
A minimum of two (2) years full-time computer work experience in a healthcare setting (clinic or hospital) is required.
Cerner Millennium, PharmNet, Discern Explorer and/or PowerChart Office full-time work experience is preferred .
Full-time work experience utilizing Command language in the design and implementation of complex data queries and reports is preferred .
Full-time computer work experience in the public sector, a university, or research center is preferred .
Full-time work experience in application programming or system analysis is preferred.
