Community Addiction Recovery Enterprise (C.A.R.E.) in Fergus Falls seeks a talented and experienced Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LADC) to lead a team dedicated to helping people on the road to recovery. As part of the Minnesota Department of Human Services, C.A.R.E. provides inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment for adults and adolescents with chemical dependency disorders. All services are person-centered, building on the individual’s interests and capacity for growth, leading to a lifelong process of recovery. C.A.R.E. Fergus Falls is a state-of-the-art facility specializing in the delivery of services for individuals with high medical needs, including pregnant women.
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the variety of chemical dependency and dual diagnosis treatment activities. Provide clinical supervision for chemical dependency counseling services so that professional independent counseling and case management are offered to clientele often with co-existing mood and thought disorders as well as other mental health issues. Assist in the development and maintenance of a treatment milieu that is therapeutic in nature, as well as fiscally viable. Maintain records and prepare reports on department activities. Participate in assigned meetings. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff members, public and private agencies, employers, community leaders, and general public. Complement the supervisor in the management of the treatment program and assume the duties of the Program Manager in that person’s absence.
To qualify, you must:
Be licensed by the State of Minnesota as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor;
Possess a minimum of three years experience in the provision of individual and group counseling to chemically dependent clients;
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license; AND
And per MN Statutes, you must:
Be at least 18 years old;
Be able to pass a criminal background check; AND
Sign a statement attesting that you have been free of chemical use problems for at least two years immediately preceding hire.
