We have various opportunities in the Samuel Ocshin Comprehensive Cancer Institute. Here you will have the opportunity to participate on cancer studies and trials by joining one of our several teams such as the clinical research budget team. You will provide support to faculty and staff conducting oncology research by maintaining quality assurance of study/trial budgets.
As Clinical Research Budget Coordinator I, you will develop clinical trial budgets sponsored by industry, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and investigator-initiated clinical research. In addition, you will critically evaluate research protocols to assess resource needs; assessment includes all research procedures, clinical research staff time, investigator time, and costs from ancillary departments. You will also allocate cost, negotiate budgets, detail budgets, and assist with invoicing for study/trial. And finally you will ensure compliance with all federal and local agencies including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and local Institutional Review Board.
The Clinical Research Budget Coordinator I,in addition will perform the following duties:
In collaboration with the Principle Investigators, you will develop clinical trial budgets and negotiate trial budgets with industry sponsors by using business analytics.
You may assist with invoicing sponsors, patient research billing, reimbursement to ancillary departments, and payment tracking.
You will evaluate protocols to assess allocations are dispersed accordingly and assess whether research procedures in the protocol are standard-of-care or a research-related cost in order to correctly classify expenses.
In collaboration with the CSMC office of Sponsored Research, you will work on improving and developing budgets for clinical trials and research projects.
You may assist on trainings, education, onboarding for other staff.
Using various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages you will build, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.
