The Cardiopulmonary Coordinator is an allied health professional with demonstrated skills and competency in all required therapeutic and diagnostic cardiopulmonary modalities and has a good understanding of the ongoing educational needs of the professional staff of the Cardiopulmonary Services departments including Respiratory Therapy and Cardiology. The Coordinator oversees new hire department orientation and initial competency testing, annual competency assessments for staff, continuing education opportunities for staff and students provided in all areas of the hospital on geriatric, adult, adolescent, and pediatric patient populations where Respiratory Care services are provided. This position will support the Director and department manager in assigned tasks including scheduling, policies and procedures and assist with procedures as needed.

5 years’ experience in all areas of Respiratory Care including pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, required.
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
Associate Degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent, required
Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care, preferred
Licensed by the Respiratory Care Board of California as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), required
BLS-C (CPR) Card issued by The American Heart Association, required
Neonatal Resuscitation Program Card issued by The American Heart Association, preferred
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Card issued by The American Heart Association, preferred
