Presbyterian Senior Living (PSL) is a not-for-profit organization providing retirement and senior care services for more than 90 years. Headquartered in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, the organization and its affiliates provide comprehensive services and accommodations to more than 6,000 seniors in 30 locations across the mid-Atlantic region of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio and Delaware. The organization employs a dedicated team of over 2,600 staff members. The mission of PSL is to provide compassionate, vibrant and supportive communities and services to promote wholeness of body, mind and spirit. The organization seeks a dynamic, engaging leader who in partnership with others, will articulate the future shape of the organization in ways that create a clear sense of direction and commitment while ensuring that the cultural values of inclusion, transparency, quality, stewardship, people-focus and community benefit remain steadfast.
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the CEO will work closely with the leadership of PSL to create and implement PSL’s strategic, operational and business plans in alignment with the organization’s mission, vision and values. (S)he will possess the integrity, vision and leadership ability to successfully guide this faith-based organization and will bring superb interpersonal skills, outstanding business acumen and a record of success in meeting business and financial targets, gained ideally in a multi-site senior living organization.
The CEO will lead a well managed and financially stable organization that is committed to regular evaluation of its strategies for identifying how best to serve seniors now and well into the future. The successful integration of new affiliation partners as well as innovative initiatives, the commitment to further growing the affordable housing portfolio and a strong focus on leadership development, succession planning and organizational culture will be essential elements in the continued success of PSL under the next CEO.
The ideal candidate will exhibit an impeccable commitment to integrity, compassion, and transparency. A person of faith who demonstrates love and respect for seniors, the CEO models leadership as (s)he collaborates with PSL’s long-tenured and highly successful team. A good listener and open communicator, the CEO will integrate within this very positive culture while remaining sensitive and open to any opportunities for change necessary. The CEO will uphold PSL’s stature in the industry and both continue and enhance its outstanding reputation by remaining highly visible and interactive not only among staff, residents, and clients, but also within the national health care industry. A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management or a related field is required.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a visionary, creative, performance-driven leader. The organization is seeking for its next CEO to identify and advance new growth strategies in housing and health care markets. The PSL Board looks forward to both welcoming and partnering with a new leader who will honor the outstanding work that has contributed to PSL’s success, yet bring new ideas and approaches that will ensure the organization continues to evolve successfully while meeting its important mission of serving seniors across the entire economic spectrum.
