Wyoming Behavioral Institute (WBI) is an 85-bed acute care and 65-bed residential psychiatric hospital located in Casper, Wyoming. WBI serves as the primary resource in the state for inpatient child, adolescent and geriatric psychiatry. WBI is in network with Tricare for acute care and youth residential treatment and accepts patients transferred from VA Hospitals.
The MilitaryÂ and Veteran Liaison is responsible for developing and retaining referrals from Wyoming and neighboring states for individuals of all ages enrolled in Tricare, and children and adolescents covered by out of state Medicaid programs. The Military and Veteran Liaison will support development of new service lines and promote WBI through education and awareness of WBIâ€™s services.
The candidate selected will be responsible and accountable for:
Cultivating Military, VA, Veteran, Military family and Non-Military referral relationships to generate facility referrals and promote customer satisfaction.
Working with referrals from the Reserves and National Guard and their families. This is an underserved population, with current emphasis by Department of Defense to improve their access to Mental Health Care needs.
Serving as point of contact for Veterans Affairs (VA) and Tricare-enrolled providers and developing improved communication with VA referral sources.
Assuming an active role on the team to expand service lines, maintain/increase the referral base, and support WBIâ€™s overall business development strategies.
Performing other duties as assigned.
