Bachelor Degree in mechanical, electrical engineering of facilities
Four years of experience in a management role overseeing the operation, maintenance, repair and replacement of industrial electrical and mechanical systems, including central boiler and chilled water distribution systems and associated utility support systems in a plant greater than 500,000 square feet. Budget development and management experience.
Advanced knowledge in the use of computerized building automation systems
EPA Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certificate
Ten years of progressive facilities management experience in a multi-campus health-care system preferred

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Plant Operations in the management of personnel, finances, and equipment;in the implementation of programs and policies related to the efficient and effective operation and maintenance of Bayhealth’s central plant and utility systems; and works with Bayhealth’s Energy Manager to maximize the operation, maintenance and repair of Bayhealth’s buildings and systems. In addition, you will work closely with the Department Director in establishing goals, objectives, & standards of performance, develop and implement operating policies & procedures and interpret policies, standards, regulations, and codes. You must be fully versed in Joint Commission Environment of Care standards, NFPA standards including the Life Safety Code, EPA, DNREC, OSHA and other regulations as they relate to the compliant operation of modern health care facilities.
