Director Learning & Leadership Development

Hours: Generally 8AM – 5PM
Responsible for creating and leading education, learning, organizational and workforce development, career development and leadership development activities and initiatives that promote improved individual, group and organizational performance in support of the Medical Center’s strategic objectives. This includes assessing organizational learning needs, developing and delivering appropriate learning tools, programs, opportunities and services while measuring learning and development effectiveness. This highly visible role will provide consultation to all levels of management while providing inspirational leadership in managing the HR function of training & development. Relocation assistance available.
Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or closely related field is required.
Minimum of seven years’ experience in education and training, organizational development, human resources or adult education required.
Experience in the successful design, development and delivery of value-added educational programs, learning aides and dashboards/analytics for internal customers and stakeholders required.

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management, faculty and staff required.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines required.
Ability to energize, inspire and motivate the team to exceed objectives required.
Ability to lend credibility and integrity, provide expertise and build productive relationships across corporate functions and with business executives required.
Ability to take the lead on cross-functional projects in a highly diverse environment required.
Strong business acumen with a high level of intellectual curiosity required.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills required.
Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities with the ability to unwind issues and rebuild stronger solutions required.
Sound judgment and the ability to make individual and collaborative decisions with multiple stakeholders required.
Impeccable ethics, integrity, credibility, ability to instill a strong values system for the function and act as a trusted advisor and role model required.
Master’s degree in education and training or organizational development preferred.
Experience working within an academic medical center or a healthcare setting preferred.
Significant experience with internal consulting and organizational/leadership development preferred.
Strong technology and systems experience, particularly with enterprise resource planning and learning management systems, preferred.
