DEFINITION/RESPONSIBILITIES: The VA Nursing Academic Partnership (VANAP) Nursing Faculty Position is a registered nurse who is responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation for didactic and clinical supervision of University of San Francisco (USF) students while at the VA and the Sacramento USF campus. The faculty member executes responsibilities as an instructor/faculty member in the areas of education, clinical practice, and administration. The faculty member conducts EBP projects, promotes research-related activities, and seeks to publish in various professional arenas, including professional journals. In addition, the faculty supports recruitment and retention activities, Post Baccalaureate Nurse Residency (PBNR) and VA Clinical Practice and Professional Development programs. The faculty member serves as an expert consultant to mentor nursing staff, students, and nurse residents in the dissemination and utilization of research evidence to improve and support nursing practice.
Ã? Current full, active and unrestricted registration (license) as a Registered Nurse (RN) in California
Ã? Registered nurse with a Master's Degree in Nursing,
Ã? Mental & Community Health nursing experience within the last five years
Ã? Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Ã? Graduate of a doctorate program (PhD or DNP) or related field,
Ã? SIM experience
Ã? Previous teaching experience at the BSN level.
Ã? Requires travel to clinical and didactic sites.
