Mid-Columbia Medical Center (MCMC), in collaboration with Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU), is hiring a full-time BC/BE Pediatrician to join the team of three pediatric physicians at MCMC Pediatrics. The pediatric team includes a behavioral health provider and an RN care manager, as well as a dedicated and patient-centered staff. This opportunity is accompanied by a clinical faculty appointment at OHSU School of Medicine, affording opportunities for teaching if desired. A shared EHR with OHSU affords easy access to shared patient information, as well as providing effortless electronic communication with subspecialists.
MCMC comprises a full-service 49-bed hospital, as well as a network of clinics dedicated to specialty medicine and primary care. Pediatricians deliver outpatient care at Columbia Crest Medical Clinic, a member of MCMC’s outpatient clinics (MCOC). A certified patient-centered medical home, the clinic enjoys a close collaborative relationship with all of MCMC’s wide range of resources. Pediatricians in this practice offer full scope pediatric care for children from birth to age 18, as well as covering a small number of inpatient general admissions and healthy newborns. They share night call with the family medicine practice of MCOC, currently at a frequency of 1:5. This call team attends deliveries only when requested by the OB. There is telemedicine support from the neonatologists at OHSU, if desired.
MCMC is located in The Dalles, Oregon, providing a unique rural medical experience. Less than 90 minutes from Portland, Oregon, at the eastern edge of the Columbia River Gorge, The Dalles is the perfect blend of beautiful scenery and proximity to everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer. A mecca for patrons of the outdoors, The Dalles provides numerous opportunities to enjoy everything the region has to offer, from hiking to biking to downhill skiing and water sports.
