Hours: Monday - Friday hours between 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
UW Cancer Center at ProHealth Care, has an excellent opportunity for a certified medical dosimetrist. Candidates with prior experience as well as recent program graduates will be considered. Successful candidates will need to be a strong team player, have the ability to take initiative, and the confidence to work independently. Additionally, preferred candidates will be dedicated to collaborating with their customers, focused on the needs of our patients, and skilled at building treatment plans. Responsibilities include assuring that safe and competent dosimetry is provided, assisting in the QI program for radiation oncology, collaborating with the Radiation Oncologists to devise all needed treatment plans.
Radiation oncology equipment and services include:
- Nucletron high dose rate brachytherapy
- Accuray Cyberknife
- Varian and Elekta linear accelerators
- Philips large bore CT simulator
- Pinnacle planning system transitioning to Eclipse treatment planning
- Mosaiq record and verify system
This individual will join a team comprised of a Chief Physicist, one staff medical physicist, three Radiation Oncologists, two Dosimetrists and a team of therapists. ProHealth Care offers three centers within a 20 mile distance, is fully electronic with centralized physics and dosimetry.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) OR board eligibility.
- Previous Medical Dosimetrist experience strongly preferred, will also consider those with a strong clinical experience.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented.
