Medical Service is seeking a Hospitalist physician to care for acutely ill Veterans as well as being responsive for the medical co-management of surgical patients. The physician will also provide coverage in the Intensive Care unit as needed.Board certificationin internal medicine is preferred and must have a full, active, current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any state, territory or commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Tour of Duty: 8:00am to 4:30pm.

- Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religions, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The work requires some physical exertion including periods of walking, standing, regular and recurring bending, stooping, lifting heavy objects such as assisting patients on and off examination tables.
