The Clinic Operations Manager is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for the management of all Shoreline Vision clinic operations. Including: ongoing patient management to ensure continuity of care, timely access to medical care, and personnel functions. This position works directly with our Medical Director, Optometrists and Ophthalmologists to improve clinical operations throughout the practice.

Assume responsibility and accountability for operations and management in the clinic
Provide leadership to meet the goals of patient centered care along with efficient and cost-effective operations in conjunction with the Medical Director
Participate in long-range planning and the development of organizational goals, strategic plans and objectives
Design, manage, and continuously improve processes, systems and policies that positively impact patient services; ensure smooth inter-departmental operations
Work with Human Resources for full staff development and in identifying effective staffing patterns
Manage clinical and administrative staff including ophthalmic technicians
Oversee clinical operations support for Shoreline Vision
Ensure the delivery of high quality and safe patient care services, including quality management and HIPAA compliance
Help support EMR system and meeting meaningful use criteria
Oversee clinic budget
Target improvements in: access; fiscal management; overall customer satisfaction; patient; caregiver and provider communications; clinical service delivery; operating efficiency; and staff development.
Education and Experience:
BS/BA or COT; a degree in Health Care Administatation Management is helpful
Minimum of 5 to 10 years of clinical operations experience with increasing levels of managerial and supervisory responsibility.
Specific experience in quality management and performance improvement
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with excellent writing, editing, and administrative skills.
Experience in the specialty of Ophthalmology is a plus
Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and managerial skills to lead, motivate and direct staff and work collaboratively across multiple departments.
Working knowledge of: organizational policies, and procedures; health care delivery systems and administrative practices; computer systems and applications; and working knowledge of medical billing, coding and insurance coverage.
High level of excellence in customer service and patient/caregiver relations
Demonstrated ability to:
Plan, direct, evaluate, and improve clinical operations
Comprehend, interpret and implement complex health care regulations and guidelines/clinical measures for health care payer payment initiatives.
Communicate effectively and respectfully with staff, patients, the public, and external agencies; including people from different racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds and lifestyles, demonstrating a knowledge and sensitivity to their needs
