Responsible for all components of Trauma Registry operations. Utilize data analysis and interpretation of clinical information to collect trauma patient information through chart requisition and medical records. Interacts with state and regional regulatory agencies providing required data and interpretation of data to ensure the accreditation of the hospital's designation as a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Education/Experience: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and three (3) years of RN experience in a Critical Care, Emergency and/or Trauma setting.
Licensing/Certification Requirements: Valid license by the State of Nevada to practice as a Registered Nurse. Must complete the registrar certification board leading to the designation of Certified Specialist in Trauma Registries within one year of hire.
ACLS, BCLS, PALS, TNCC - TNCC INSTRUCTOR A PLUS.
MEMBERSHIP IN ENA, AACN, ATS, STN, MTS OR ANA.
COMPUTER SKILLS WHICH INCLUDE DATABASE MANAGEMENT AND WINDOWS APPLICATIONS (EXCEL, WORD, ACCESS).
EXPERIENCE COLLECTING AND COMPILING STATISTICAL DATA FOR THE PURPOSE OF ANALYSIS, EPIDEMIOLOGY AND QUALITY IMPROVEMENT.
