The Clinical Billing Auditor is responsible for conducting objective reviews of patient accounts when requested by payers, audit firms, associates, or patients. These reviews require analysis of coding, billed charges, and a review of the medical record documentation to support the billed services.
This position is PRN/Contingent.
Â·3+ years of directly related experience
Â·RN with current CO license
Â·Intermediate skill level with MS Office produces including: Word, Excel, Access and Power Point
Â·Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Â·Strong communication and organizational skills
Â·Experience in compliance and auditing in a healthcare setting.
Â·Experience in project management and/or software implementation.
Â·Knowledge and understanding of charge master document, case management processes, managed care system, coding and reimbursement.
Â·Knowledge of RAC and other state/federal billing audit programs.
Â·Knowledge of change management principles and process improvement methods.
