The Division of Pediatric Nephrology is seeking an energetic and collaborative individual who is committed to clinical and educational excellence. The successful candidate will join our group that includes established Pediatric Nephrologists and an experienced Physician Assistant. The Department of Pediatrics provides the full range of inpatient medical and surgical subspecialty services, including critical care, neonatology, acute dialysis, CCRT, and post-kidney transplant management. We have active outpatient service including pediatric nephrology clinic, outpatient dialysis, ABPM, and maternal-fetal medicine consultations. The successful applicant will participate in, and contribute to, the department’s broad clinical and scholarly activities.
Teaching and mentorship responsibilities include medical students from several affiliated institutions, and residents in our fully accredited categorical Pediatric and Internal Medicine/Pediatric residency programs. An academic teaching appointment is available through Commonwealth College of Medicine) and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Many resources and opportunities exist to conduct clinical and translational research and in particular within the Genomic Medicine Institute. This position requires board eligibility/certification in Pediatric Nephrology and PA license.
Janet Weis Children’s Hospital (JWCH), located on GMC’s campus in Danville, is the region’s only dedicated 5-floor, 89 bed children's hospital with a full-service hospitalist program. JWCH’s team of medical and surgical specialists provide care in over 30 pediatric specialties, including a 41 bed Level IV NICU and 14 bed Level I PICU. JWCH provides medical malpractice insurance with tail coverage.
