This position works under the supervision of the Cafeteria Leader and Cafeteria Supervisor.
Prepares cafeteria workstation for service to customer in a safe and sanitary environment according to proper guidelines to assure high quality food service.
Interacts favorably with all customers to provide prompt, accurate and courteous service.
Prepare food and beverages according to request by Coffee Shop customers at Lutheran Medical Center.
Prepare cash register and surrounding area for a safe and sanitary environment. Ensure all cash handling requirements are met.
Maintain and ensure high quality food and beverage presentation.
Responsible for speed of service in cash handling, food and beverage preparation. Interact positively and favorably with all customers and co-workers to provide proper, accurate and courteous service and all Service Behaviors are followed.
Follow all food handling regulations, departmental and hospital policy and procedures, health codes and JCAHO standards.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required
Requires moderate to heavy moving of supplies, and ability to move light loads frequently.
Constant walking and standing required.
One to two years in Hotel or Restaurant food service experience, preferred
The hours will vary, shifts will be from 5am to 9pm, must be available to work any shift in this range of time. Mon-Sunday.
Must be available to work weekends, sometimes every other weekend.
