Providence is calling a Security Officer to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA.
We are seeking a service-oriented individual to provide a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, staff, volunteers, and associated medical staff.
This is an on call position with 8 hour shifts. You will need to be available to work all shift times.
Shifts times are as follows: 12:00am-8:00am, 8:00am-4:00pm, and 4:00pm-12:00am.
In this position you will:
Patrol the facility and grounds, enforce security policies and procedures and maintain general order.
Communicate with public safety agencies, monitor alarm systems, conduct emergency response drills (fire and infant abduction).
Respond to emergency calls following appropriate procedures.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Health Care Security Officer certification from IAHSS (must be obtained within 12 months of hire)
AHA Basic Life Support Certification (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Law enforcement or security related experience, including experience working within a medical facility.
Training as a police or security officer in the military, state, federal and/or private agency.
