Reporting to the CEO of this NFP organization, The VP of HR will be an integral part of, and an essential business partner to, the entire executive team by ensuring a strong linkage between the organization’s strategic goals and its HR programs. The VP of HR will have a passion for culture change and be responsible for developing and creating an environment in which over 300 staff members can grow and flourish. This individual will also be responsible for the strategic human resource planning to provide the organization with the best people talent available and to position the organization as the employer of choice by being aware of policies, practices and trends within the industry. The finalist will have the ability to achieve the following:
Lead overall strategic direction of human resource management, in order to enable all employees to reach their full potential.
Champion corporate culture and recruit, retain, reward and prepare workforce for future career opportunities.
Develop leaders throughout the organization.
Lead overall strategic direction of safety, training, compensation and benefits, employee relations, staffing, talent planning, diversity management, and HRIT.
Maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and maintains best practices in regards to initiatives, policies and functions related to human resources.
The finalist candidate will possess vision, high level thinking and planning, and technical knowledge of daily human resource operations. Excellent oral and written communication skills and highly effective interpersonal skills are essential and strategic development experience is preferred. A minimum of seven years of leadership and management experience in human resources is required, preferably in health care setting. Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or university in Human Resources Management required, Master’s preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Knowledge of Employment Laws, PHR Certificate preferred.
