Providence is calling a per diem, variable shift Radiology Technician to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA.
In this position you will:
Perform various diagnostic radiographic procedures according to accepted department protocols and hospital policy and procedure.
Obtain patient history, prepare patient for the exam, explain exam, and ensure patient cooperation and safety during the procedure.
Prepare written documentation as required by the department, such as evaluation results, progress and other reports, stat readings, and checks.
Act as patient educator prior to catheterization to explain procedure and answer questions; explain steps during the procedure. Maintain records of examination data and other pertinent information on patients.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current Basic Life Support - for Healthcare Providers - American Heart Association ( AHA ) or American Red Cross ( ARC ) - CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer accepted on hire until card expiration date.
Current Certified Radiologic Technologist License ( CRT ) with fluoroscopy certification. (Fluoro Certification required within 60 days of hire)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist certification ( ARRT )
