The MicroStrategy Administrator is responsible for design, development and implementation of strategic architectures of Microstrategy Business Intelligence Tool at an enterprise level. This includes an understanding of methodology, design, specifications, programming, delivery, monitoring, and support standards. Involved in strategic planning activities and researches emerging Internet technology, programming languages and tools, and e-business standards for use in effective existing or new enterprise application/systems. Acts as the lead administrator fully responsible for overall MicroStrategy architecture design and implementation.
Understanding of MSTR architecture and components
MSTR installation and maintenance on clustered environment on Windows, UNIX,LINUX environments
Experience in upgrading from 10.x to 10.x Version Or 9.x version to 10.x version
Experienced in admin functionalities of MSTR such as setting up New Projects, User creation, ACL, Security Groups, Roles, Movement of objects using Object Manager
Hands on experience on Installation and Deployment of MicroStrategy objects from Development to QA and Production environment
SSO/Server Authentication Setup & Administration
Hands on experience in developing Public Objects like reports, filters, prompts, metrics, templates, consolidations, custom groups, cubes, etc.
Well versed with Admin tools Object Manager, Command Manager, Enterprise Manager, System Manager, Operation manger
Define and Perform Disaster Recovery Strategies and experienced in using ScanMD and Metadata Doctor
Define and implement governing policies and recommend and follow best practices
Coordinate issue escalation, issue resolution within and outside of the organization including vendors
Develop scripts and automate operations to the extent possible
Extensive experience in end-to-end implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) projects, especially in scorecards, reports, cubes, & dashboards
Extensive experience in building and developing reporting solutions on MicroStrategy BI
Leverages experience and can create/update customization plug-ins in MicroStrategy SDK for Mobile, Authentication and UI Customizations
Hands-on experience on MicroStrategy BI e.g. dashboards, documents, MSTR Schema creation, advanced reporting
Experience in using Pass through functions and In Memory cubes
Experience in customer-facing roles for requirements gathering and architecting solutions for BI projects
Good analytical, inter-personal & communication skills, and proactive attitude
Experience with Service now or issue tracking tool
