This is an executive level position reporting directly to the CEO. Responsible for planning, organizing and directing the overall revenue cycle of the practice.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Provide direction and supervision of the Revenue Cycle Management Billing Department employees. • Oversees and supervises billing and accounts receivable management of the practice. • Implement and maintain billing, reimbursement and collection processes and procedures in order to maximize revenue cycle and cash flow. • Work closely with front desk staff to improve activities such as registration and copay collection. • Lead the billing migration for new sites acquired by the practice. • Ensures compliance with federal, state, local and other payer legal requirements governing Medicare and commercial billing and Medicare collection activities. • Recruits, hires, trains and retains high quality personnel. • Ensures that an exceptional level of customer service for patients, physicians, and employees and other stakeholders is provided promptly and appropriately. • Maintaining quality control programs • Participates in developing and adheres to the PFS budget. • Conducts employee performance appraisals • Updates procedure manuals and job descriptions as operations and requirements change. • Accepts special assignments from upper management and completes projects in a timely manner. • Oversees departmental KPIs and provides timely feedback to department regarding performance. • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD10 and CPT procedure coding. • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel including pivot tables.
Education: A Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Healthcare Management or related field. Prefer CPC certification.
Skills: Must be knowledgeable with medical billing laws, regulations and standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a large physician practice billing operations. Prefer experience with multi-site/multi-state organization. Must have experience managing a department consisting of at least 10 FTEs.
