SPECIALTY CLINICAL MANAGER - Post Anesthesia Care Unit
The PACU Clinical Manager assumes responsibility and accountability for the direction, implementation and daily operations of the PACU and perioperative units at Direction of Clinical Director. S/He will ensure the safe delivery of patient care through the coordination of scheduling of Staff in PACU and perioperative areas at the direction of Clinical Director. This role is broad in scope and requires the ability to work independently and apply a high degree of judgement. This position assists the Clinical Director in coordinating interdepartmental and ancillary activities to ensure quality, cost-effective patient care. This position assists the Clinical Director in directing the preparation and maintenance of patient’s clinical record, including safe, quality and competent care of the pre-operative and post- operative care of all patients. The manager assists the Clinical Director in leading the patient care team to meet the needs of the customers and to achieve departmental objectives. The selected candidate will assist the Clinical Director in ensuring that the staff participates in educational activities, Annual competencies and yearly evaluation process to enhance their personal growth and Development. The manager will assist the Clinical Director with daily Surgical throughput, performance improvement, and Acts as a liaison between nursing and medical staff, serving as a problem solver and Mediator for positive change.
Qualifications: •Graduate from an NLN accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s in Nursing. •A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year of demonstrated leadership abilities preferred. •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. •Current New Jersey license as a Registered Nurse, BLS certification. • National certification, CNOR - preferred.
