Providence is calling a Electronic Imaging Assistant to Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA.
We are seeking an imaging assistant who will perform a variety of clerical duties in support of diagnostic imaging operations.
In this position you will:
Provide customer services and clerical processes that involve reception, patient transport, responding to inquires, filing, retrieving films and records, data entry and tasks utilizing digital and Picture and Archive Communication Systems (PACS) technology with the ultimate goal of accurate and efficient utilization of electronic/manual image and data storage, reporting and distribution methodologies.
Demonstrate knowledge of day-to-day operations within the department.
Have the ability to screen orders and have a firm understanding of preps, lab tests and other requirements for procedures.
Demonstrate knowledge of RIS, PACS and imaging exams.
Demonstrate knowledge of filing systems and ability to file and retrieve a variety of documents.
Required qualifications for this position include:
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
High school diploma or GED
Six months healthcare/radiology experience, or one year of office clerical experience or post secondary education
Basic knowledge of healthcare facilities, operations, systems and equipment. Natural organizing skills and willingness to assist/support others. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to maintain a professional presence in busy, chaotic environments. Demonstrated knowledge of personal computer operating systems.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Prior experience using Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) or Radiology Information System (RIS)
Knowledge of medical terminology
