Pediatric Associates of Topeka, P.A. is an bustling independently owned and operated practice currently looking for a full-time office manager. Our team consists of experienced, compassionate pediatricians and friendly, nurturing staff members who take pride in giving their young patients the personalized pediatric care that they deserve. We are seeking an individual with the skills and background to compliment our winning team. This position will be responsible for the direction, supervision and coordination of the operational and human resources function in our fast paced clinic, including implementing policies and procedures, pertaining to efficient clinic operations. This individual will work with our staff to foster a team approach to achieving and maintaining high quality patient care and cooperation among staff.
The essential duties and responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
Administers the business activities and other related works of the office; monitors and oversees the medical related operations
Coordinates and oversees the patient flow process in the clinic, assist clinical staff in the development, implementation and monitoring of a patient triage system
Responsible for development and implementation of clinic improvment projects
Manages the accounting and billing related work in the medical office which also involves dealing with insurance companies and and processing clinic payroll
Providing general supervision of non-medical personnel and works with staff to develop performances goals and objectives
Ensures compliance with current healthcare regulations, medical laws and ethics
Schedules clinic staff including approval of vacation and all other requests for schedule changes or requests for time off
Works with recruiters to identify, screen and select personnel for interviews and hire
Promotes staff development, professional development, as well as cross training between staff
Oversees clinic medical supplies, inventory and maintenance of equipment
Pursues personal professional development to ensure advancement of personal knowledge and skills
The successful candidate will be a self driven individual with 5+ years in a healthcare environment. Strong accounting and payroll skills with 3+ years experience in billing, medical terminology and diagnostic coding is required. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of HIPPA and labor laws and previous successful experience writing policies and procedures in alignment with the concepts of continuous process improvement concepts and practices. The ability to be self-driven in a confidential, fast-paced, environment while working effectively within a team to support positive outcomes is critical in this role.
