Providence is calling a Chief Medical Officer for Providence Medical Group in Southwest Washington Service Area.
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for the SW provides overall physician leadership to PMG for Southwest Washington, including the activities of all medical directors and oversight of all PMG primary and specialty care clinics. The CMO is responsible for all clinical activities, ensuring the highest quality of medical care delivered by PMG physicians, advance practice practitioners (APP) and support staff, achieving cost effective utilization of services provided, and oversees provider practice issues.
The CMO and Chief Operations Officer (COO) for PMG SW lead together in a dyad model and in collaboration with area leaders to enhance service throughout the entire continuum of care. The CMO and COO dyad provide oversight and guidance for the financial aspects of PMG, and the development and implementation of strategic initiatives consistent with the strategic initiatives of Providence. With dyad partner and regional leadership, CMO oversees development and implementation of strategic plans; assists with medical staff recruitment to achieve appropriate staffing levels; and ensures that clinic caregivers are well informed regarding PMG strategy, direction, current issues and management response to those issues. This oversight includes; joint accountability with dyad partner for attainment of financial performance targets and for compliance with accreditation standards, and organizational requirements, such as medical management strategies, disease management programs, and service improvement initiatives, including customer satisfaction and complaint resolution.
· MD or DO.
· License to practice medicine (MD) or osteopathic medicine (DO) in the State of Washington. Board certified in recognized medical specialty.
· A Master's Degree in Health Care Management, Business Administration, or related field is strongly preferred.
· Minimum of five years of medical practice experience in managed care, group practice environment, and physician or healthcare leadership role.
· Experience in Quality Management and Resource Management in healthcare organizations such as Medical Group and/or Health Plans preferred.

The Southwest Washington Service Area (SW) serves five counties through an affiliated network of health care services and ministries to include Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Providence Centralia Hospital, and Providence Medical Group (PMG).
