Inova Health (Inova), a global leader in personalized health and a nationally recognized health system located in Northern Virginia, has engaged Cejka Executive Search to conduct a national recruitment for their next Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

The CHRO will serve as a strategic and operational leader, setting and executing a comprehensive people strategy that aligns business goals and objectives in supporting Inova’s growth, strategic ventures, and aspiration to become the best healthcare system in the world and a recognized employer of choice. The CHRO will collaborate with the health system’s senior leadership team as a key business partner and advisor for all Human Resources matters and will serve as a member of the President’s and Chief Executive Officer’s Councils.
To facilitate the cultural transformation as a consumer-driven, preeminent healthcare system, the CHRO will guide the development of a system-wide Human Resources platform, involving all aspects of Total Rewards, Recruitment, HRIS and Organizational Development. The CHRO is charged with designing and executing operational practices that promotes a pro-active, nimble, and customer focused culture between operating unit HR leaders and System HR. The CHRO will spearhead system-wide plans for organizational and leadership development to attract, retain and promote a high quality, engaged workforce and support its tenets for leadership development and creating a best-in-class environment for their 16K and growing workforce. The CHRO will serve as a strategic thought leader for advancing innovative programs that foster service excellence, employee retention and satisfaction, workforce stability and recruitment, continuous leadership development, and financial productivity.

The successful candidate will have at least ten years of senior level management experience leading a high-performing human resources division within a large, complex consumer-driven organization. Value is placed on perspectives gained from other industries as well as from operations experience. The CHRO will be skilled in change management and willing to be both hands-on and strategic, can operate in a highly matrix business structure, and work seamlessly across boundaries to support leaders in achieving their business and system objectives. An advanced degree is expected.
