Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Gift Shop Attendant \(Per Diem, Days\) to work at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA\.
The Gift Shop Attendant is an entry level sales position in the hospital gift shops under the organizational umbrella of the Swedish Foundation\.
In this position you will:
Greets all walk\-in customers, answers phone, facilitates sales as appropriate\. Provides quality "customer\-focused" service
Operates cash register, accepts payments, calculates and refunds the correct change
Assists with inventory and tracking of supplies
Unpacks and prices merchandise; stocks shelves with inventory
Maintains sales records for tracking purposes
Delivers flowers/balloons/gifts within the hospital
Restocks, arranges, and straightens displays and inventory
Maintains an orderly work area to include cleaning and dusting, as appropriate
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School Diploma or Technical School graduate
Possesses excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English Either in person or over the phone, as well as in writing
Ability to efficiently perform basic math calculations and functions
Basic computer skills required; with competency in Microsoft Word
Possesses operating knowledge of \(ability to use\) cash registers\.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
One year related experience
Must be comfortable with performing multiple tasks, with the ability to remain flexible and change direction on short notice; and possesses the ability to set priorities
