The Department of Pediatrics at NYU School of Medicine is seeking a pediatric hospitalist.Nocturnalist: We seek a BC/BE pediatric hospitalist for a faculty position in our inpatient medical-surgical unit at the Hassenfeld Children's Hospital of New York at NYU Langone. This hospitalist will mainly cover as the attending nocturnalist physician with a team of excellent trainees on our pediatric medical-surgical unit,caring for a wide variety of patients, including comanagement with surgical and medical services. Other responsibilities include teaching and mentoring of medical students and pediatric housestaff and participation in hospital-related administrative, research and/or quality improvement initiatives. This physician may also provide some care (negotiable/if desired) for well full term and late preterm newborns in our level 1 Nursery with over 6000 deliveries/year. The individual will join our expanding Pediatric Hospital Medicine group which actively engages in medical education, quality improvement, research and administration.The ideal candidate will be BC/BE in Pediatrics, possess outstanding clinical skills, hold current NY licensure, PALS certification and ideally at least 1-2 years of post-residency clinical experience or fellowship.
