Providence is calling Registered Nurse - Telephone Advice (0.6 FTE, Evenings) to Providence Murray Business Center in Beaverton, OR.

In this position, you will:
Serve patients in a fast-paced, challenging, multi-customer telephone call center that operates 24/7.
Be responsible for the interactive process that occurs over the telephone with the patient that identifies the nature and urgency of the patient's healthcare needs and then determines appropriate disposition.
Schedule an appointment as the patient's condition requires, answer questions, and provide health education in relation to the call.
Accurately document the encounter with the patient for continuity of care.
Facilitate care that is based on the nursing process, evidence-based guidelines and is consistent with Oregon and Washington's Nurse Practice Act.
Possess a broad range of general nursing knowledge and expertise.
Have proficiency using Microsoft Office products and multiple computer applications.
Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team.
Be accountable for personal behavior and ongoing professional behavior and development.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current, unencumbered Washington RN license or must obtain within 6 months of hire
Must obtain other required nursing state licensures within 6 months
2 years of acute care RN nursing experience
Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office products, and electronic communication systems
Type a minimum of 30 words per minute (wpm)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's degree in nursing; required for newly hired Registered Nurses as of 2018
Ambulatory Nursing certification
5 years of nursing experience as an RN
Telephone triage experience
Progressive leadership experience
