Providence is calling a Surgical Technologist to its Operating Room atProvidence Newberg Medical Center in Newberg, OR. This is a on-call/per diem position. You will have the ability to sign up for available shifts at least 4 weeks in advance. You may pick up day or evening shifts Mon-Fri.
Endoscopy experience would allow for work within the OR and Endoscopy.
In this position, you will:
Be responsible for maintaining the integrity, safety, and efficiency of the sterile field throughout the operation.
Have knowledge of and experience with aseptic and sterile techniques to prepare and arrange instruments and supplies.
Assist the surgeon and assistants throughout the operation by providing the sterile instruments and supplies.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
Completion of training program in operating room techniques
Understanding of medical terminology
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
1 year of experience as an active scrub technician
