Vinson Hall, LLC is looking for a RN Clinical Educator to join our amazing clinical team!   Every employee of Vinson Hall Retirement Community is responsible for carrying out the Mission of VHRC, and demonstrating the core values in their day to day operations

The Clinical Educator is responsible for coordination and implementation of education and training programs for community personnel and for monitoring and enforcing employee health requirements.

Primary Functions & Responsibilities:

Clinical Educator

• Develop and implement schedule of in-service programs for all staff as required to meet Federal and State regulations and VHC policy. Maintain documentation of in-service programs and educational requirements for all staff.
• Develop and implement an annual education and/or competency program as required to enhance employee skills and educate staff on changes in Federal and State regulations.
• Provide a comprehensive orientation to all new employees to meet Federal and State regulations.
• Identify and recommend development, education, and training for VHC employees to enhance their effectiveness in delivery of resident care and services.

Employee Health

• Plan, organize and implement employee health program in compliance with Federal and State regulations and corporate policies.
• Assess and recommend corrective actions or programs to reduce risks in work environment.

Requirements

Position Requirements:  

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia. BSN preferred.
• Knowledge in current regulatory requirements for long term care and assisted living facilities.
• At least 2 years of long term care experience preferred. IV experience and certification.
• Experience with geriatrics and current CPR certification required.
• Computer skills required.
• CPR trainer, First Aide Trainer, and UAI Trainer preferred.
• Medication Management Trainer Preferred.
