Saratoga Grove Retirement & Assisted Living Community in Downers Grove, Illinois is seeking a Part-Time Receptionist to join its clinical team in delivering quality care to its residents in efforts to improve overall quality of life.

The primary purpose of your job position is to maintain a calm and friendly atmosphere by welcoming and directing guests, answering the phone and performing clerical and support tasks.

The following Hours:    330pm-7pm one weekend per month; fill in for Full-Time staff  on Holidays, vacation, etc

• Create and maintain a calm, positive atmosphere of warmth and personal interest.
• Receive requests from within the building and locate personnel through paging system.
• Receive inquires and release information in accordance with established policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality of organizational information.
• Answer telephone; determine nature of call and direct caller to appropriate individual or department, using good telephone etiquette.
• Greet visitors and give directions/information to visitors, sales representatives, etc.
• Receive, sort, and distribute mail as directed.
• Operate copier, computer, office machines, etc. as directed.
• Assist with clerical and support tasks as needed.

Requirements

Candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with the elderly, other personnel, family members and visitors.  Candidate must have patience, enthusiasm and a cheerful disposition and possess the ability to maintain a calm environment.  Previous experience working within an assisted living/retirement community or skilled nursing facility is a plus but not a prerequisite.
