Lakewood Ranch Medical Center offers a comprehensive range of cardiovascular services, from community educational programs that promote health and wellness to treating acute cardiovascular problems.
Our highly trained staff and physicians provide patients with an individualized approach to heart care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation. Cardiologists coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team, including surgery and emergency departments, to help put patients on the road to recovery. The hospital has been certified by the American College of Cardiology (ACC) as an accredited Chest Pain Center with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
The Level One Cath Lab at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center includes:
STEMI program that provides coronary interventions for patients who may be experiencing a heart attack
High continuity of care because the same medical professional follows each patient through the entire procedure, including pre-procedure and post-procedure care
Waiting room and other amenities that are conveniently located near the Cath Lab
The Cardiovascular Technologist assumes the responsibility and accountability, under the direction of a physician for providing safe and competent care, both technically and clinically, in the diagnosis, treatment, and intervention of cardiovascular disease in accordance with Lakewood Ranch Medical Center policies, procedures and philosophy. The CVT will also provide leadership and work collaboratively with all healthcare team members within the cardiac cath lab and the facility as a whole.
