Under the direction of the Grant Program Manager, the Program Coordinator will work to manage specific grants that have been funded by extramural funding. The Program Coordinator will work with a specific portfolio of programs and will provide support to launch newly funded projects, provide administrative support for the projects while they are funded and will work on the closeout of the project when the funding ends. Working with the internal staff and external funders, the Program Coordinator will ensure that all of the programmatic and fiscal reporting is completed and submitted in a timely fashion. The Program Coordinator will provide input into the grant funding database and will work with the principal investigator and programmatic staff to ensure all appropriate oversight of the funds.
This position is exempt from Career Service under the CCH Personnel Rules.
Organizes cross system project teams to support funded proposals
Monitors the progress of the grant funding program implementation. Works with team to develop action plans to meet established deliverables
Collaborates with Finance to ensure all back end financial work is in process for grant management
Participates in required site visits as determined by the grants
Prepares documents for Board submission and approval of grants
Works with program staff to regularly report with funders as determined by the grants
Facilitates reapplication of funds, as needed
Discusses, develops, directs and effectuates CCH department policies and procedures
Consistently uses independent judgement to identify operational staffing issues and needs and performs the following functions as necessary: hires, transfers, suspensions, layoffs, recalls, promotions, discharges, assignments, directs or disciplines employees pursuant to applicable College Bargaining Agreements
Accesses and proficiently navigates CCH records system to obtain and review information necessary to execute provisions of Collective Bargaining Agreements
Contributes to the management of Cook County Health (CCH) staff and CCH systemic development and success
Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Urban Studies, Public Administration or related field of study from an accredited college or university is required ( Must provide official transcripts at time of interview )
Four (4) years of full-time work experience in grant program administration is required
Must be able to travel throughout Cook County and participate in site visits as determined by the grants is required
