GENERAL DUTIES: The Office Coordinator will support the Risk Management, Patient Safety and Hospital Safety functions and reports to the Chief Quality Officer at Desert Regional Medical Center (DRMC) and is responsible for supporting the tracking and managing data within the event reporting and compliance monitoring softwares. This position works collaboratively with the Patient Safety Officer and Safety Coordinator assigned to DRMC. Assists with the hospitals emergency management and environment of care programs. He/she supports the medical centerï¿½s use of translation and interpreter services. He/she supports DRMC philosophies and strategic goals and serves as a liaison to promote maximum growth and individual and team development. He/she is available as needed for other projects.
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC DUTIES: 1.) Provides daily monitoring of the event reporting and compliance database. 2.) Provides administrative support to Intense Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, and Failure Modes Effects Analysis projects as needed. 3.) Supports the facilityï¿½s use of interpretation processes and software. 4.) Performs duties as the Americanï¿½s with Disabilities Coordinator (ADA) 5.) Performs meeting management duties associated with patient safety, risk management and hospital safety including. 6.) Assists in the development and implementation of procedure manuals relative to safety, security, life safety, hazardous materials, and emergency preparedness in compliance with Federal, State, and local ordinances. 7.) Produces monthly statistical reports for submission to Safety Committee\ 8.) Assists with the preparation of environmental regulatory reports for DRMC, including the Business Emergency Plan, all fees and permits associated with State of California Board of Equalization, State of California Department of Toxics Substance and Control, County of Riverside, City of Palm Springs, and other environmental fees, licenses, taxes, etc. impacting the medical center 9.) Assists with the statistical analysis of facility drills
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Required: 1. B.S. degree or commensurate experience 2. Minimum 4 years administrative or project management experience 3. Proficiency in the use of computerized office programs, business machines and English grammar 4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 5. Demonstrated ability to function in a multi-system environment
Preferred: 1. Extensive experience in multi-task management and coordination
