As the Director of Quality you will assist in developing and monitoring standards to continuously assess and improve the quality of care as well as program operations. The ideal Director of Quality will be comfortable implementing change based on evidence-based research to improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency in care delivery. The Director of Quality will provide direction and oversight of the Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement process for the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience with Infection Control and Prevention standards, the Joint Commission, and will be knowledgeable in risk management strategies.
Collaborate with the VP of Clinical Services, establishes clinical benchmarks and best practices to be utilized across the organization in an effort to achieve the best possible outcomes for the residents, regardless of the level of services being delivered
Assist in developing annual Quality Improvement goals and objectives within the Clinical Services function and monitors progress toward these goals
Collaborate with all resident care disciplines in meeting licensure and certification standards with the goal of achieving zero deficiencies in all licensure, accreditation and certification surveys
Partner with the Director of Education to identify educational programs and/or training to meet the identified needs of associates
Conduct “Quality Improvement” studies or as a directed in-service in response to survey deficiencies
Lead targeted review and analysis of standards to ensure community is compliant and well-prepared for annual surveys
Ensure clinical leadership is knowledgeable of new regulations and standards as implemented by CMS or other regulatory agencies
Review monthly Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement minutes to identify any areas/ issues requiring an action plan or training
Develop and utilizes competency tools to equip nursing to meet professional standards while collaborating with Directors of Nursing to identify needs
Maintain knowledge of current professional standards of practice, laws, and regulations for various locations
Collaborate with the VP of Clinical Services, provides oversight of the planning and organization of Quality Improvement activities at the communities
Assist in development and revision of policies and procedures, forms, studies, etc. related to Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement
Monitor for Risk Management and Compliance issues within the communities and reports issues to the community’s leadership and the VP of Clinical Services

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required, Master’s preferred
Registered Nurse license required
Two years of recent clinical experience and two years of experience in Quality Improvement preferred
