Description
Position Purpose:
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership of the Deupree House and Cottages campus by planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the community’s nursing, social services, medical records, case management, programming, MDS, spiritual care and sales processes. The Executive Director (ED) is responsible for financial oversight and occupancy along with the creation and maintenance of a culture of respect and responsiveness for both residents and staff. The ED ensures the accomplishment of quality, clinical, financial, staff and resident satisfaction, and strategy outcomes.
Essential Functions/Accountabilities:

| Ongoing | Is responsible for partnering with the Marketing Department for the successful development and implementation of the marketing and admissions program for all levels of care. |
| Ongoing | Is responsible for maintaining occupancy goals and revenue expectations for all levels of care. |
| Ongoing | Assists in the development, use, enforcement and updates of policies and procedures to assure continued compliance. |
| Ongoing | Serves as Deupree Community’s risk management liaison with ERS’s insurers and oversees Deupree Community’s Safety and Risk Management Plan. |
| Ongoing | Reviews and develops a plan of correction for deficiencies noted during survey inspections and accreditation visits. |
| Ongoing | Selects, encourages and evaluates staff, contractors, medical directors, and consultants to supervise and support Health Services processes and programs. Delegates administrative authority, responsibility and accountability to other staff personnel as necessary. |
| Ongoing | Serves as the community’s resident relations functions, assisting residents with concerns and issues. Serves as the liaison between staff and residents to assure successful resolution in conflict situations. |

| Ongoing | Serves as the Executive representative of Deupree House and cultivates beneficial community relationships. |
| Ongoing | Assures that the resident's rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights are well established and maintained at all times. |
| Ongoing | Serves as the primary liaison with ERS senior leadership in the operations and planning for DH; participates in ERS leadership development and planning meetings. |

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must possess a current, unencumbered Nursing Home Administrator’s license.
- Bachelor’s degree in health services administration or related field required.
- Advanced training in a hospital or long-term care administration is preferred.
- 7 years experience in a senior leadership role in a long-term care community preferred.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care administration preferred.
- Familiar with laws, regulations, and guidelines governing personnel administration.
- Working knowledge of accounting concepts, planning and quality improvement, and assurance.
- Must be able to work effectively in a process-based collaborative organizational structure.
- Must be able to make independent decisions.
- Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, government agencies, etc.
- Must possess leadership ability and be willing to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
- Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
- Able to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language.
- Able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 lbs on a regular basis and 50 lbs occasionally.
