Company Overview
Riverview is a county owned healthcare facility offering services in long term, short term acute, rehabilitative, and memory care services, as well as offers assisted and independent living. The Therapy Department offers in-patient & out-patient physical, occupational and speech therapy. Our newly renovated facility additionally, has 20 Assisted/ Independent Living suites. Riverview has been taking care of the community for over 150 years! Our facility employs approximately 80 employees in the following areas: Activities, Dietary, Environmental Services and Nursing Departments . Riverview meets the standard required by the Ohio Department of Health and is certified under the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
Company History
Riverview is one of only a few County Homes left in Ohio. Of Ohio's 88 Counties, only 33 counties continue to operate a county home. Years ago all counties were mandated to operate a county home to provide residential nursing care and related services to the indigent citizens of their county. Over time that mandate was repealed and many counties gave over that responsibility to other organizations and closed their county homes.
Riverview is owned and operated by the Ottawa County Commissioners. We have been in operation since 1871! Our present building was built in 1964 with additions in both the 80's & 90's and most recently renovated with an addition of an Assisted and Independent Living Facility.

Full Time employees are eligible for a comprehensive package including medical, vision, dental, telehealth services under a PPO or HSA plan option. Additionally a $50,000 life insurance plan and EAP services. After 1 year of service FT & PT employees can request Tuition Reimbursement for Post Secondary education options.
