The Sequoias Portola Valley is 328-person life plan community nestled on 42 acres in the rolling, wooded hills of Portola Valley in San Mateo County, California. Situated on exquisite, landscaped grounds the community is bordered by the Windy Hill Open Space Preserve that is 2,000 acres of sweeping green hills and trails ideal for exploring, hiking, and bird watching.
The Sequoias Portola Valley has embarked on a significant redevelopment effort having already renovated and redeveloped the dining room, administrative offices and the resident fitness center. Plans for future redevelopment include renovation of the kitchen, environmental services and laundry facilities, the Great Room, fireplace, library and auditorium.
Located minutes from Stanford University and Stanford Shopping Center, this beautiful community combines the benefits of country living with the conveniences of city life. The Sequoias Portola Valley has been recognized for its exemplary performance and accommodations. For over 20 years, they have been accredited by CARF-CCAC, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. CARF International is an independent, nonprofit accreditor of human service providers that was established in 1966. Accreditation is a voluntary review process that sets high standards for quality, financial management, governance, staffing and resident services within life plan communities. Accreditation indicates that the community has undergone a rigorous review of their practices and programs against the Standard of Practice established for life plan campuses.
